Kevin first started his management career in 2004; he was responsible for running that company for 2 years. He ran the office, supervising administration department and marketing within the organization. In addition, managing the sales representatives and their business needs with vendors. He eventually branched off with a friend to develop their own business in construction called Executive Construction and Remodeling. Kevin's inspired to stay within the industry of marketing and promotions because he feels that they are the most important components in any organization.
Kevin explained to me that his hardest challenge in the past was rebuilding his life. He stated "that is was not easy to align himself with the right people, individuals that were driven and motivating." The most important aspect now is that he maintains and continues to work towards his goals. Kevin’s other challenge was not knowing when to quit and move on when things didn't work out. He desires to become a better father; this is a daily goal for him. He knows that he must become better in order to set a positive tone in his children’s lives. His continues to strive, maintaining his focus and using energy towards new ideas and projects.
Kevin experienced a few obstacles along the way to success. He dropped out of West Aurora and Finger High School then left Chicago for a short period of time. Once he got back his parents made him return to school at Cosmopolitan Prep High School where his earned his diploma. He decided to further his education by attending IADT-Chicago majoring in Multi-Media and Production in design.
Kevin is now the marketing and promotions manager for Street Fame Music Group. He works directly with artist imaging, publishing, and copyrights. He also coordinates bookings for the shows and oversees contracts. Kevin has his own publishing company, (Headshotz) and that has been under his ownership for 8 years. He would like to take his skills and profession to ownership, with interest in assisting small business owners. Kevin is working towards branching off as a consultant with modeling professionals and interior remodeling with a marketing firm. Education is a major step towards learning new skills and he understands that. Kevin’s attended American Intercontinental University online; majoring in Business Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship. He managed Flawless Fashion Boutique located at 458 East 83rd Street, Chicago, IL 60619 for a short time. Now, he is pursuing his passion in construction.
