Mimi’s Hot Spot for the Week
I recommend Flacos Tacos this week considering there are drink specials each day for their sangrias, margaritas and beer. Most importantly they serve some of the best Taco’s in downtown Chicago in Printers Row on 725 South Dearborn Street.

You can visit Flacos Tacos website to find the closet location near you at http://www.flacostacosonline.com/#order-online.

HOT PICKS for the week
This first “Hot Pick” comes from my prize won on Twitter last week. I entered a contest with @SixBrownChicks and won a set of @Cosmopolitan “Naughty Collection” from @Sterlingbooks on twitter. Now ladies, I had the chance to review some of the material included in my bundle which were sex games such as truth or dare, Naughty notes and much more. Thank you again to Six Brown Chicks for the exciting gift that I can’t wait to use.

If you have not read “Those Necessary Thorns” written by Sabrina Childress then you are missing out. This book is a great read and it took me less than 24 hours to read it. I recommend that you read this during a weekend away or with your significant other. It’s teaches a lesson about the strength of marriage and love being tested to past the limits. The main character is Desiree Elizabeth Taylor known as Desi in this novel. Desi is my favorite character in “Those Necessary Thorns” because she is secure within herself and open with her sexuality.  She also is a no-nonsense type of woman which can occasionally be taken for a Miss know-it-all.

For more information on “Those Necessary Thorns: Desiree Elizabeth Taylor story and to purchase this paperback book online or for your Kindle; go to

Mimi Health Tips-

Olive Oil and lemon is a good toner for your skin after using a mild cleanser and it’s all natural.

After a bath or show moisturize your feet with a coconut oil and lotion then place socks over them. Your skin will feel so soft in the morning.

Sleep with a humidifier two or three nights out of week to help with a stuffy nose. It will also help with allergies that maybe in your home.

Last but most importantly, remember to smile often. Life isn’t so bad when you can thank God for waking you up in the morning.

I hope that you enjoy and thanks so much for visiting www.networkingbusinesssolutions.com.

Sincerely,

Mimi D.

Just My Thoughts- From Mimi D.

Over the last few weeks I've had conversations with a great group of professionals from Chicago; including local music artists, musicians, entertainers and entrepreneurs. During each conversation the one word that I heard is "Success." I believe we all strive for success but does that just come from the desire to be rich, say that you have certain things or do you truly enjoy what you do? Are you willing to give back to your community? Throughout your busy schedule do you make time with your family? Do you respect other people feelings that have supported you from the beginning or do you over-look them?  I ask because if you weren't where you are now, how many could you actually call?

I bring these things up because I believe that we change, adjust our lives and work at being successful for the reason of standing out or looking better than someone else. I believe that our original goals for success revolved around those that we love and I know that it can't all be so simple at times. It so important that we all keep a strong support system behind us, someone to talk or just listen, someone who understands what we endure or just cares enough to ask, is there anything that you need from me? You feel like your being pulled in different directions and that no one cares but that's not true. Don't get so caught up in what you're pursuing that you forget that everyone needs an outlet even outside of their profession. You should keep your focus but don't forget about the small aspects of life that make you who you are. And don't take for granted the things in life that are not replaceable. Life should be lived each day as your last but don't forget to acknowledge and embrace only the things God can provide.

Sincerely,

Just My Thoughts- Mimi. D

Mimi's HOT SPOT of the Week!

So I got lost this Tuesday in Chicago's Oak Park neighborhood and I had fun doing it. I'm currently apartment hunting and came across one of the cuties places to eat called "EastGate" which is a book and gift cafe. The cafe is set up like a book shop and has a decent menu but most importantly they have wine for $4.50 and beer specials. I enjoyed a turkey breast sandwich with potato salad and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon wine. This cafe makes for good romantic hideout for you and your significant other. Don't say I never told you to visit.

East Gate is located on 102 South Harrison Street and for hours of operations view the link below:

Health Tips
*I encourage make-up lovers to remember to clean your skin each night prior to bed.
*Clean your make-up brushes weekly to avoid skin irritation. Use mild soap.
*If you suffer with random break-outs use Mary Kay, Acne Treatment Gel. It has 5% Benzoyl Peroxide for those of your with sensitive. If you're allergic to this ingredient you can clean your skin with lemon and olive oil. One teaspoon of olive oil and squeeze a few drops of freshly squeezed lemon. Mix well. Always rinse your skin with luke warm water.
*For an inexpensive liquid make-up then I would suggest Clean Finish Foundation by Rimmel-London. (Vitamin A & E) This product can be found in your local Walmart, CVS or Walgreens. I love it :)

 Healthful Tips for Chicago Weather-

I’ve found that taking a multi-vitamin each night helps me feel better in the AM and helps me fight away the common cold. You can also gargle with warm water or salt before bedtime. An apple a day is extremely important to me which why I usually try to create me a tasty fruit salad before work. You could do this too just add your favorite fruit with a dash of brown sugar. Rest and relaxation helps me relieve any stress that might contribute to a weak immune system. Find that place of peace and clear your mind.

ReBuild Your Networking Resume:

How do you rebuild your networking resume?

Well first, you should start by staying in communication with your current networking circle on a weekly basis. I can tell you from my own experience by working a part-time job which requires me to work full-time hours in and out of the office; it is not easy.

Second, how often do you view your contacts website to check for upcoming events to attend, post comments for feedback or just view the site to support their movement? This is important considering that if your networking circle is strong then others will be more willing to support their cause as well. It's just like shopping at any Wal-Mart, CVS, Target, Best Buy or Sam's Club for a particular product or to visit a store for reasonable price. Consumers shop at certain stores based off other customers experiences or shall we just say in the most commonly used phrase- Word of mouth. The more you know about your contacts brand the better chances you have at laying a strong bridge. A new business opportunity to partner up with or collaborate on different ideas is a great start to building new relationships.

What two business have you branded with? Do you support any of brands by wearing their logo or attending their events? Can their logo benefit a different business? Those questions are extremely important. If you can’t wear it or promote it due to irrelevance or inappropriate content then you should re-think supporting brand.

Third, often entrepreneurs get caught up in their own businesses and being focused on maintaining a successful platform that they forget about those that need assistance. Did you forget that you also needed someone to help you promote your business or train you on how to represent your company? Everyone may not have the skills needed to promote or advertise their business but their product maybe what every business needs. You should always do your research and look into the company to see what their offering. I know that I would regret not helping them and then to look up only to find a television commercial airing or newspaper article that clearly shows that they've grossed triple my annual income.

Ex. The first flat panel television, now the first television was created in 1964 at the University of Illinois

Yes.... that's right hours away from our hometown Chicago by Professor, Donald Bitzer and Gene Slottow. Following that invention of Flat panel TV and then LCD’s which were both created why because ONE consumer saw a need. For instance, more business offices, schools, churches or department store has a TV monitor inside them whether for promotions/advertising or security purposes. This same mentally should be used towards assisting new and existing business owners that show you a legitimate need for their product; mainly its value for the majority.

Fourth, once you’ve collectively organized all of your contacts then it is necessary to place them on a spreadsheet with the direct names, email addresses and telephone numbers for you to reach out to. This will give you some structure and help you memorize the telephone numbers because we all have become a little too dependent on our cell phones. I am currently working toward regaining my memory of family and friends telephone numbers. If you are utilizing your Microsoft Outlook and Google then this will assist you with memorizing some contacts as well, for those of you that use the internet more often.

Last but not least, You can NOT be available for everyone all the time. If you work on your professional relationships now and keep your word while supporting them through some of the busiest times then you will be remembered. You will be another step closer to leaving your legacy.

For more questions, information or details about seminar participation, please contact me at NBSOLUTIONS.OUTLOOK.COM.

Be Blessed!

Sincerely,

Mimi D.
