N.B.S- Business Law with Shared Articles

I attended Robert Morris College and after graduating with my degree in Business Management I planned on attending Law School. I decided against that idea and wanted to focus more on becoming a entreprenuer. My desire to become my own boss has always been strong considering I understand some of the legal battles that have occurred over the years to make that dream possible. However, we tend to forget about those moments in our history that has shaped the ways for us to gain that type of lifestyle.

For example: The McCulloch v. Maryland case in 1819; Congress was granted laws that would execute its enumerated powers, such as regulate interstate commerce, collect taxes and borrow money. Why is this important? Considering that business owners spend the majority of their income by investing it in their business before they see a profit is huge. One of its benefits allow owners to file their income as a expense and receive it back each year. The Brown v. Board of Education case in 1954; if it had not been for the 14th Amendment which was passed in 1868 that the newly rights of shall not be deprived in any state to "due process of law" or of "equal protection of the law" then education would not have been an option for any blacks or some might agree for any African American child. By depriving our race from receiving fair treatment it would have violated the 14 amendment which would have eliminated our rights to receive education in the same college institution. Without education how would we learn the proper fundamentals needed to sustain a successful business?

I came across this website and it captured my interest so I decided to share it considering I love any topics related to law. It is something that should never be forgotten and shared with our youth quit often for years to come. There is more to life than love, sex and drugs which to me is limited talk. I've shared the link with you along with a few others and hopefully you too will remember what it takes to become a proud entreprenuer.

I hope that you are blessed!

Sincerely,

Mimi-N.B.S

Late Evening Thoughts

I believe that we often find ourselves focus on the wrong things or just not following the appropriate steps to achieve our dreams. We make decisions based off of what we think they should be or how we think they should go but often it changes.

How do you overcome the obstacles and hurdles daily that keep you from achieving your own personal and professional goals? We often make excuses as to why things have not gotten done or get too comfortable in our situation because its a routine that has worked for us. It is important to be self-motivated; encouragement is wonderful and experiencing a successful life with someone is great. I feel that priorities must be in line in order to be successful and certain questions should be asked. Did I accomplished what has been expected from me? What do I have to offer to those in need? Will my resources be valuable to others besides myself? Have I taken any opportunities for granted and if so, how can I correct that?

I'm learning that there is no such thing as the right time to connect with those that can assist you. You should do your research to learn about the company or organization. If you're offering or seeking the attention of the same audience then you should be maintaining contact with that direct connect. The time is now and every day that you wait to reach out that is another chance you missed out on.

Sincerely,

Mimi- N.B.S
